Carers allowance question

Not really a SN topic, but anyway.

If Iw as to do an OU course, would it affect my CA? I know you can't go in to full tim education so is OU classed as ful time.

I just want something to keep me busy when DS2 is at school, or when I'm up at silly o'clock with him watching Disney fims.

I am just starting a 30-point course which is classified as part-time. If you're hoping for funding, you do have to declare CA as part of the household income.
DS will be moving onto college next year and I'm hoping he will stay 2/3 nights a week thus reducing my day-to-day caring and opening up job possibilities. But at the moment I don't feel I can sign up for courses with set hours.

Good for you for doing something for you - and your sanity (?) Smile. Sorry have no idea about CA.

I did a course that was based on 15 hours and received carers. when I looked into it they said I could study for up to 21 hours without it being affected.

Thanks everyone :)

MissTired, I've no idea yet, I've had a look at a few things, but still not sure what I want to do.

I should get funding, given that DH is on a crap wage anyway.
