Has anyone heard of or used these ? They have been suggested to me - but I think they are not designed for ASD children (which may or may not be a good thing !) DS is now doing amazingly well now at copying sounds (He is verbal but poor pronunication and language gaps) and is great at labelling so I think will love learning the names of letters. But I still wonder if it is the right approach or not ?

Thanks - that's roughly what I think too. Six months ago I would not even have considered it due to poor imitation skills but we have had surprising success with what ABA calls 'Echoics' which means imitating pure sounds. DS has never had a problem copying words (classic echolalia case) and knows and uses many words in a functional way - but would never copy a sound due to lack of imitation skills. Amazingly he took to sound copying faster than expected so we are now wondering about how to progress things. I may see if the person who recommended the cards can let me borrow some first.
