Was walking back from school and the air was full of smoke coming from the nearby allotments.
DS (4.10, asd) says "it smoke here"
Me: "Yes. Look there is a fire and smoke on the allotment"
DS: "but why?"
Me: "they are burning leaves and wooden sticks"
DS: (with a serious face) "NO! burning sausages!"
Grin ...maybe it's because i always smoke the kitchen out each time we have sausages!!! Grin

Smile and very impressed that he asks 'why' questions

i love the little things they say. DD2 was asking me for a "stretcher" the other day, took me a good hour to work out she meant the tape measure!

Yes we have had 'why' questions or in DS's case "but why" questions Grin for a while now about 4-5 months maybe, we also have "what's that?" and "where's daddy?" now and then, but still no "when, how".
