Another 3am set of spasms

OK this is killing me- really hope it isn't the new routine. DS1 woke again at 3am (on the dot). Same eeeuuurrrghh noise. Went to see him and he was in spasm again. He was less tense than the other night and able to lie down so after taking him to the toilet and cuddling him for a bit I left him (he's more likely to go to sleep that way).

He went back to sleep at 6am and I dropped off shortly after (i have to stay awake whilst he's awake in case he gets up and wreaks havoc). At 6.30am ds2 came tripping into my room.

So yet another day begins at 3am. I am clinging to the hope that its because I have been mentioning school and he's excited (I told him school soon in the bath yesterday). I am now shutting up about it until Wednesday morning when he'll be presented with his t-shirt.

and with a thud the day begins..... ds1 is awake and I've just heard the first "urrrr"I need a bucket of iced water to stick my head in. Bet Fio's sitting at home with her feet up having a nice cup of tea!

Sorry your having such a crap time Jimjams. Is anyone coming in later so you can get some rest?

Jimjams · 05/09/2005 15:38

ha ha ha ha no!

I did forget that ds2 is in nursery all day for the first time today! So that was a bit easier, and meant I had the time to go and visit a friend with ds1 and ds3. Unfortunately ds1 escaped from there last time so we had to bind her gate with string- so he started to chuck things in her stream. He's a nightmare- I don't know how he manages to cause so much chaos when there are 2 adults within feet of him (and since the escape I don't leave him for a moment- actually we did today whilst getting the stuff ready to leave and we lost him again- my friend suddenly realised she had left her upstairs window wide open and we had a horrible "oh my god is he dead on the floor moment?").

Looking forward to bed time!

so obviously 3am is the new 7am. 2.30 last night although at least he did go back to sleep after about an hour and a half (and so did I- joy feel positively sprightly). 3 times in one week. Melatonin anyone?
