I everyone,

i am am mum of 4yo twins so am very busy. one of my DD's is autistic. i am having terrible trouble getting her an after-school tutor so have turned to mumsnet for help!

I am between Camberwell and Dulwich. looking for a ADA tutor to support us as her speech is delayed.

am also considering a speech therapist, but, tbh, as a second option - just need some help right now and am putting feelers out in all directions.

thanks for any help or suggestions mumnetters!!

Hi,

I'm not sure whether you have an ABA consultant already but you can look on the BCBA website to find ones local to you (although bear in mind some will travel so don't let location put you off). Speak to several and ask to speak/see families they work with to find one that is a best for you.

I would also suggest you look at the ABA4All Facebook page and ABA yahoo group for recommendations.

If you're completely new to ABA then a good book to read is by Robert Schramm and is called 'Motivation and Reinforcement'.

Hi Mums,
This is my first post on Mumsnet and I'm sure I will find answers to lot of my questions from all the supportive mum'sSmile.
My son is 4 and a half and he goes to a private school who does not incorporate ABA. We were thinking to get started with ABA tutoring after school. He's more on the mild side but we are trying hard to fill the gap for him as much as possible. Can anyone suggest a good ABA therapist for my son. We are based near Sidcup SE9 area.
