DS is 16 and goes to school in Edinburgh 30 miles away doesn't sleep well and refuses to go to bed at night tells me to get the f out of his room all the time, this morning he wouldn't get dressed as usual told him several times it was gone 8 o'clock before we left the house.I'm knackered half the time and just screamed at him.
I feel awful now, just needed to let it out.
It was DH I screamed at yesterday.

I did the same wih Dd3 last week, loads of people on here told me I was human and were really understanding. It helped just to know I wasn't alone.
It's reaaly hard with teens [my eldest is 21 not at home anymore though. The trouble I had was that if she said She wasn't going to do something it was virtually impossible to make her, so I do know where you are coming from. Try to take some time out today and put your feet up. If your knackered everything is so much harder.

I lose it with my DS (he is only 4!!!) every so often too.

I think they just push you so far and you spend so much time biting your lip that every so often it has to come out.

I apologise to my DS and explain why I got so cross, tell him I still love him and then we have a big cuddle. Not sure your 16 year old will still appreciate the cuddle, but worth a try! Smile

You are only human and lack of sleep makes things much harder to deal with. I have lost with my 2 in the mornings a few times, that is the worst time of the day with stress levels through the roof so is bound to happen now and again.
