www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1310887/Mother-releases-video-footage-daughter-4-having-fit-force-NHS-action.html

I know she is trying to raise money for something which DOES look necessary in her daughter's case and I totally understand that but the article really overplays what a seizure is. It implies the child is in pain and as for the stats on deaths in epilepsy - I just HATE reading stuff like that. It distresses me beyond words. I can only deal with DS's epilepsy by focusing on the best outcome.

She says she wants people who have kids with epilepsy to be aware of SUDEP. My God, I think we all are but we just have to try not to think about it or we'd become paralysed with anxiety and grief.

Also, all the people who don't know anyone with epilepsy will know read this and assume all sorts of crap about seizures that in most people's cases will not be true.

Grr bloody daily mail. Serves me right for reading it.

I totally feel this woman's pain but the sensational tone of this article doesn't really help anyone with epilepsy.
