Have had my thinking cap on ( whislt at the orthodontist with ds1).

Vivary park and tropiquaria as already said
hestercombe gardens ( but I'd look them up online)
Taunton cricket museum
you could do the shops and look at the castle
outside oftaunton on the A38 is sheppys ( farm and cider museum.. And the sell flaggings of different ciders)

the time you going I was hoping the carnival would go through town.. But it's not on in taunton until 16 th October.

There is also the fun farm.. Outside pigs.. Sheep deer etc.. And play area.. Reptile holding etc.. Indoors cafe and indoor play area .. Also a few other things.. But tbh I'm not sure how powerchair friendly it would be.. And it can be a bit disorganised and it's smallish..
My dc's all quite like it but I'd look it up on their site or give them a call.

Bus company is first choice.. and again I don't know how powerchair friendly it would be as I don't use the buses.

You could also have a look at going on the steam train down to minehead..From bishops lydeard( nr Taunton ) That might make a nice day out of getting down to butlins.. Staff are very friendly and are happy to help.

Oh and in the castle there is an other museum which I think is wheelchair access friendly.

ds1 and ds2 are very easy going and will fall in with what ever little uns want to do

its more ds3 and dd

did call tropiquaria but the aquraium and the reptiles ar enow wheelchair accesiable , yet theres no discount .

Ds3 is pretty good with powerchair got round natrual history museum on bank holidya weekend without hitting anyone , though lol i was sorley tempted a few times

parks are good idea dd can run around and ds can go fast as he likes

The railway is very good on accesability, they have ramps and wheelchair space and really helpful staff, ( I'm local and know a few of them), I'm not sure on the size of your power chair, but my friend who has an adult chair can't use it on first bus :( and just to note the museum at Taunton castle is closed for renovation until next year.
