Forgive me is this has already been covered but last time i did this was 4 yrs ago. Renewal forms have arrived which seem to be one form combined for mobility and care and appear on first glance a bit simpler. Are they really?! they don't seem to ask for all letters from docs, just their contact details, that correct? thanks all

I did my sons new one but assumed it was because it was post 16 that it was easier.Didn't take them long to make a decision either I did however request a report from paeditritian and sent that off with the form.

I had my tribunal yesterday and the man from the dla said that although they don't ask for letters it is better to send them to back up what you have said. Not only does it make it quicker but the people who write the reports can put down what they need rather than conforming to their tick box forms. I have found the renewal forms slightly better.

I just did DD1's renewal, and got one form. I sent in every report I had - I didn't want to take any chances.

sorry to me pedantic, but did you ask all the docs for specific letters supporting your dla appliaction or did you send copies of ones you already have? that make sense? thanks

I sent docs I already had, but my paed writes very long clinic letters, of which I had 2 year's worth, and the other stuff was all statutory assessment docs, so quite specific about her difficullties. I also asked 2 people to do the statement about how her disability affects her, just to take it out of the clinical environment a bit, too.
