The ds's are still away with their dad.. So dd has a friend over.. We've done lots of baking :)

in the middle of cake making dds friend (8) looks at me and says " so why is ds2 different? ... Does he have something wrong?"

when I just smile and said yes and gave a short explination, she said " cool, it's good to be different.. I just didn't want to ask him on case I made him sad"

aww that's lovely Smile

I remember a friend of dd2s, probably when she was around the same age as your dds friend. She walked straight up to mum (mid chemo) and said, dd2 said you've not got any hair? No my mum replied, followed by dd2s friend, can I see then? When she'd had a good old look she said, coooool and walked off. Made my mum Grin

young dcs I find are a pretty accepting bunch

:) they are.. Hopefully lots of them will stay that way.

I think she quite enjoyed playing with the sensory stuff we have about as well. ( we have a cool house :) )

that's really nice Smile dd1's friends thought the world of ds would always come and do things with him.

:) the children all go to the same school ( although ds2 is now move up to secondary). So it was really nice that she waited until he wasn't about to ask :)
