What is ABA? Blush

I see it mentioned on ASD threads all the time, I even have a son with Autism, but do I hell know what ABA is.

Someone please tell me!

It a style of teaching, using behavioural mangement techniques.

ABA stands for Applied Behavioural Analysis.

if you google, or do a search on here, there's loads of info (sorry to not explain furhter - bedtime for my 2!)

I osrt of do this with DS2 now. I've obviously got some inner-ABA going on Grin

So is ABA good for schooling then, and would it help DS2? He is going into Y1 in September and is very behind the rest of his class.

How do you get the school to incorperate it? I'm quite interested by this now. DS2's 1:1 is very keen to go with what I suggest and the new head is lovely. New SENCO as well, old one has retired and was a complete bitch.
