Legoland with ASD DS

Going tomorrow with DS, his sister, cousin and father. Have all the documentation to get Exit passes.Have heard two conflicting ways of getting in. Someone said we had to queue at the normal entrance and show documentation to ticket people. Another person said that we had to go to guest services.Where should we go?!

Which rides do your ASD children enjoy? DS is just 5 but likes anything fast!

Would be extremely grateful for any other tips

As soon as you're through the gate (you pay for DS but one carer gets in free) you go straight to guest services. Show them the documentation then they will issue the wristband.

There's a section telling you all about disabled access on the legoland website, it's very good.

we have always had to go to guest services to get our hand stamps.

there are 2 sections, though - one outside the entrance, and one inside after you have gone through tickets etc, so check which queue is shorter Grin

my dds are 6 and 3, and the 3 year old is a bit of a scaredy cat, so we haven't done anythign really fast.

they enjoy:

the hot air balloon rides (there are 2 different ones)
the carousel (dd2 is obsessed with carousels!)
dd1 likes the green train, dd2 won't go on it because she had one drip of water land on her once (the rest of us were soaked!)
fairytale brook is a good one.

boat school excellent, haven't done driving school, as can't accompany dd1.

the dinosaur safari is good. we thoguht the dino rollercoaster nearby was a bit violently fast.

skyrider is ok, a bit tame.

we went on the helicopters near duplo world for the first time this weekend - they were quite fun, but not really thrilling.

dd1 has done the scarab bouncers - looke dlike fun (dd2 refused to go on it)

will have a think and see if I come up with anything else!

Have a great day! It is so much easier with the wrist band. Do also look out for the few quiet spots to regroup (at the back near where the Jungle coaster used to be is one).

We took Ds who is 5 a couple of months ago. He had a fantastic time. We hired one of those buggy/csrt things and pushed him round the park to stop him getting tired. He loved it.

We had the most amazing time there despite the torrential rain. Guest services were faultless and gave the 5 of us in our party Exit passes. DS went on all the rides he wanted - some of them, 3 times. Got dirty looks from many people in the queue but never going to see them again and if they had an ASD child, they would understand!
Loved it and will be returning soon
