Changing ABA providers

Hi. Thinking of changing DS's ABA provider. Has anyone changed providers before? How did it go? I really hate to change, but feel DS may need better supervision. Also, any views on Autism Partnership as a possible provider? Thanks for any info you may have. I'm really having a tough time with this one so would appreciate any thoughts you can share!

Your mum your gut feelings are right...do it now younger the better!

I swapped but because I needed a change of style for ds as on it a few years.

I dont know AP personally but hear they do very structured approach which sounds like what you are after for ds at present!

I have many years ABA experience and know lots of people who have done ABA and it is VERY common to change providers sometime around the first year. I think you learn what you want, who you can deal with etc. AP have a good reputation, never heard anything bad. HTH

We use them in Leeds and very happy. They will meet you and introduce you to families that use them. No tie ins. Tutor rates are high if you use their staff and not independent tutors but that reflects a very high standard of training and oversight from US consultants who come over regularly
it's a not for profit company and have yet to meet a member of staff who isn't absolutely lovely
they do quite structured to start
they are very committed if we have a problem they keep trying things until they fix it
they are pro mainstream once child is ready
they put lot emphasis on social, play, well being, living skills, behaviour they don't do academics really
the directors are experts in aba and its wonderful to be able to tap into that
their books give a good insight into their approach but they are constantly improving what they do and coming out with new stuff
