dd is one on Friday and we are trying to decide what to get her.

We have already bought her a paddling pool - early - we wanted her to have some use of it(thank goodness we did given the weather the last week or so). We are having family and friends over for a BBQ.

BUT we want to get her something that she can have as a keepsake (forever). We don't want to get big toys etc as they won't be able to come with us when we emigrate.

Any ideas???

Eidsvold why not a personalised bangle/bracelet.

A little silver heart on a chain from Tiffanys. My kids girls were given them as a keepsake when my mum died, they're lovely.

we had thought about a bracelet/chain

I also thought about getting family protrait done as we have not had one done yet.

she is getting a 5 in 1 super trekker - starts off as a rocking seat - ends up a trolley she can walk behind and push with various stages in between... thought it might help with skill development and allow her to get around in the garden - sit in etc....

We are also going to get her a bracelet...or something like that.

Thanks for the suggestions.

well dh could not wait and bought her the mothercare trekker this afternoon - Birthday not til Friday - we were going to buy it on the weekend. It is all assembled into the pushcar mode and she loves it - currently sitting watching football with dh and banging on the horn part. She loved being pushed around the house in it and her eyes were like saucers when we were putting it together.

Halcyon Days do nice keepsakes for children, I've bought them for friends' kids before. Website easy to find.
