Please don't read if you are about to eat (which i was before dd2 did what she did).

Dd2 has been out of nappies (on and off) for a couple weeks, she has been doing poo's in the potty but holing them in as long as possible (sometimes up to 4 days). So i leave her down stairs with dh (who is glued to the football), i come down to find dd2 removing her pants and emptying them in to the potty, she had smeared it all down her legs, dh grabs her hands so i can try and clean her, meanwhile she pee's all over me Angry. I had to wash her down in the bath so she had a huge meltdown Sad.

This is the first time she has done anything like this, do i put her back in a nappy or just cary on how we were (pants at home, nappy when out)?

We have quite a few incidents like this! Your DD is doing quite well as she is putting into the potty. Our DS is playing with his poo (not nice). DS tends to hold onto his poo and do it at night in his nappy - I can't face night training at the moment. During the day, DS is in pants and using his potty he won't use the toilet!! DS has been dry since Feb but before that we had lots and lots of accidents. I just kept him in pants and cleared up the mess. My HV suggested trying routine visits to the loo ie give him a drink and take him about 20 minutes later. If you have a 'now and next' board you could use the toilet symbol as part of the schedule. DS is very independent in that he won't let you take him to the loo. You remind him and he says no then about 5 minutes later he makes a dash to the loo. I have to really keep an eye on him as he will play with the water and other things if left on his own. There is a good book on potty training by Maria Wheeler for ASD children - I can't remember the title.
Good luck with the training

She often does it first thing in the morning when her nappy is still on (still in nappies at night), we remind her to go on the potty or toilet every 30 minutes and she has started to take herself. I'm hoping it was a case of not going for 3 days and then she exploded (couldn't hold it any longer). Poor dh didn't know what to do 9he's not great with poo), i am now scared to touch anything brown in the sitting room incase its poo Grin.

She has been doing really well, it feels like today we have gone backwards Sad. I really want her to be ready to go to school in pants in a few weeks time but i'm not sure if its going to happen.
