Making your own picture cards

Looking on behalf of a friend who's little boy struggles with instructions etc, just started autism assessment process. I think he'd really benefit from picture cards to prompt him through his basic routines, help him connect the steps into a process, and would like to make a few to try out. Rather than reinvent the wheel, would any kind soul have any images or links to software they could share please? Getting dressed and getting out in the mornings is what drives my friend the maddest.

Thanks for any help.

we currently use photos of dd3 doing things, it's a good starting place before moving onto symbols. Hth

The SEN Teacher site is a treasure trove of information. Go to 'Downloads' and then to 'Communication' Hundreds of pictures and symbols to print out.

Can I recommend the Pogo Polaroid printer for quick and easy photo cards - costs about £25 from amazon, and prints out small, good sized pictures either via Bluetooth from phones or via cable from cameras. Brilliant device, much used in this house.
