kerry0115 I haven't posted in here before but have been lurking with intent (DS1 is going through assessments at the moment possible ASD he's nearly 4) but we have a Phil&Teds. We have 3DC (11 months, 3.9 and 4.10). I can happily sit DS 1 and 2 (the younger two) in it and now that DS2 is a bit heavier, I can get away with putting them in either seat.

DD who is nearly 5 sometimes pops in the front seat if it's free and she's a bit tired.

DS1 is a terrible walker (his gait means he's really SLOW and gets tired easily) so we'll be using it as a tandem for another year or so I bet and by then DS2 may well be out of it.

My only criticism is that both seat covers have frayed and the zip broke within 8 months. However I emailed the supplier (Kiddicare.com...we got a deal with the twin seat, and a cocoon all in £325) and got replacements within 6 weeks (shipped from NZ). The replacements seems to be holding in there and we PUNISH our buggy, it's been everwhere.

Prior to that I had a side by side buggy for my older two. It was a Cosatto one, very narrow and I could get through my front door and most shop doors. It was much cheaper and took 2 years good punishment before going to the tip but I am not sure it would work if you had narrow pavements/paths that you need to navigate.

I used one for my 2 girls. Got it when dd1 was 3 ish, and dd2 6 months. Finally stopped using it earlier this year - dd1 was 5.6 (and she is very tall) and dd3 was just 3.

We took it everywhere, and it did us proud. Has a little bit of fraying on one end of the main seat, where it folds, but that's it. Dd1 fitted quite well, even when she was so big - had a bit of an issue over where to put her (huge) feet, but that's all.

Would recommend it without hesitation.

My lovely, lovely friend gave me one (and made her mum bring it back from the USA for me on a plane!) It's great, I put DS2 in the front and DS1 who is 2.6 in the back (even though I think you are supposed to use it the other way with the heavy child at the front). DS2 loves it. It's not too heavy to push with both of them in it and is nippy and swivels well and fits into shops and down aisles. My only complaint is the footbrake is a right bugger to use and it is a bit complicated to get up and down (so I just leave mine up).

I have one for ds 3.4 and dd 9 months - yes it was expensive but really useful as it just wouldn't be possible for me to push dd in normal buggy and trust ds to walk nicely. It is quite heavy with both of them in it, but ok. Agree with Eliza about the footbrake but that's only a minor niggle.

Ebay may have some 2nd hand ones cheaper than new.
