Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

I could do with a wee bit of hand holding.

Ex-PIL are taking my older kids away to a caravan for a few nights this week.

I know DS1 (he's 5 and has ASD) will be fine (1-1 attention, lots of him-friendly activities etc)

But I am mildly freaking out here. Well, not mildly. Also plastering Big Grin on face and telling very anxious little boy how wonderful it will be, when I want to run away with him and hide.

Well done for the Big Grin! Keep it up because you may be surprised about how well he copes. Is there a get-out clause if he misses home too much?

They'll probably have a ball Smile

Try not to worry - stupid thing to say cos you will. And so would I.

Keep grinning but if your boy is anything like mine will pick up on any anxiety, so try and believe a bit, if you can.

Try and focus on stuff you want to do whilst you've got some more time to yourself.

He'll be fine.
