How long to wait before chasing up the paed report?

DD had an assessment on July 7th and I was told the paed would write up her notes and add up the scores etc then send me the full report. Still not got it but I know its school holidays, they send paperwork to India to be written up etc etc so it could take a while.

Is a month ok do you think or should I ring? Eery day I open the post nervously.

Iknow its bizarre isn't it! I fact I am only guessing that all hospital paperwork goes there but know that when rang asking where a very important letter was (It was from her endocrine consultant and without it her playgroup couldnt let me leave DD there due to insurance), her consultant apologised and said the reason was that the letters were sent off to India to be typed so were taking a while. I just cannot imagine how but am guessing this is cheap or something!

Thank you I will ring them and ask. Bet the paed is on holiday or something, its all so frustrating as I have mixed up some of what she said and need to get it in writing to share with DD's dad. As well as deal with seeing it in writing-she did talk over the basics like to expect the report to say that DD's s and l difficulties are profound but hadnt done the proper scoring at that point so the report will make a big difference.

ok called and got the secretary who said she has been off on holiday and now typing reports from end of June but then it turns out DD's report has been done and been sent off to be signed, she doesn't work frdays but will get it off next week as soon as she can.

Now I know the NHS is stretched and from the sound of it when she is away there isn't cover but argh! She made no apology and didnt even hint at any awareness that these reports are so important that parents are feeling sick every time they open the post for a month waiting to hear what has been written about their children.
