kateewobz03 hi, It very much depends on where you live, and the rules that your council has.

In my LA, you can have a blue badge automatically if you get High Rate DLA, and you have to 'state your case' if not.

Generally, you need your Paed's support, but even if you get support, you will need to ensure you meet the criteria. My LA won't give a BB for learning difficulties or behavioural problems, only physical difficulties. However, I argued that my DD's behavioural problems were a direct consequence of her physical brain malformation, which means that her difficulties met their criteria and we were issued a BB. ASD is legally recognised as a physical condition, by the way.

It does depend where you live. Ds has a blue badge and gets low-rate mobility.

Ds has a blue badge and gets low-rate mobility. Carer's association helped us fill in the form and we got support from our doctor.
