Trousers with no buttons,

I didn't know where to put this but it's kinda sn related, My Dd3 who has a possible asd hates buttons [except the television ones lol.] I have been findin it really hard to get proper trousers, not leggings without buttons. We had some boys jeans from H and M last year and I sewed some "hello kitty" badges on them but now they are too small.
Anyway I found some really nice combat ones and jeans in Vertbaudet today, with a nice soft pull up waist and roll up legs. Nice patterns too. Just thought I would let you all know because I know Dd3 is not the only child who doesn't do buttons. They are not cheap but hey.

Boden usually have a couple of styles that are soft-waisted and buttonless.

expensive, but they last well (dd1 is not the easiest on clothes - always crawling around the floor/falling over etc - and she has just had a pair of Boden trousers last her 3 years! Bought big and rolled up (dd1 was huge as a toddler, and of course needed to fit over nappies too). I can't believe how well they have lasted, tbh)

Wow, have looked at mini boden trousers, we have their pull on shorts which are ace. I will see how she goes with the verbaudet ones, if they fit her, might try boden next time.

I had some vertbaudet stuff for dd1 as a baby (handed on by my SIL) - found it all to be good quality, but every time I tried ot order, it seemed to come up quite small.

dd1 was (and is!) a big girl, so gave up after a while.

I now have a houseful of clothes waiting for dd2 to grow into - in her usual oppositional stance, she is tiny, so stuff that dd2 wore when she was 3 (dd2's age now) will fit dd2 when she is about 6 - by which time I expect she will refuse to wear it

not helped by the fact that dd2 is fussier over clothes than dd1 ever was - too big/small/buttons/no buttons/won't wear short shorts, but insists that trousers (only about an inch longer than the "shorts" she will wear) are too long/etc

Yeah, luckily I new they come up small s I ordered the bigger size, just hope they fit, can't really afford Boden ones at the mo.
Our button phobia started when she grew out of the smaller kids stuff in Next. And they put those buttons inside everything to make it adjustable.
Dd3 made me laff yesterday, she quite likes wearing jeggins but on seeing a pair in Matalan she said " Oh no, I don't like those jeggins, only the dark coloured ones". fgs.
The trouble with jeggins/leggings is that they are never long enough for her and then she insists on wearing brightly coloured sox and school shoes with them. Dd2 a fashion concious 14 yr old wont come out with us sometimes.

I just have to laugh, or I would cry, I'v got one that will only wear ultra trendy and one that looks like an accident in a charity shop!!
