ABA related - can anyone help with buying VB MAPP please?

I need to buy the VB MAPP (and protocol) in advance of our programme starting. I've found several on various websites, but not sure exactly what I should be buying. Is there a standard one I should get?

To add to the confusion, they all seem to be from the US (can you buy this in the UK?) and they vary in cost from $70 - $700!

Can anyone tell me what I should be buying please? I've asked my consultant but haven't heard back from him and he's on holiday now.

TIA

I think there is only one though not sure. I bought mine last year - I think for about 40 pounds inclusive of postage. Have you looked out for copies on EBay or Amazon ? I don't think it is available in the UK.

Thanks willow.

I've found this one on US amazon - is this the right one?

Or this one - looks like the same thing as on amazon but with a guide as well so presumably it's the correct one?

Thanks.

I have the first one only - just the VB Mapp not the guide. Published 2008

Thank you so much for your help

Let me know how you get on with it - I don't know anyone else on or off line who is working from the VB Mapp.I have found it quite useful and easy to follow - though a bit depressing as it shows how far behind his language actually is. Still I am a pessemistic person by nature. I really thought DS would never talk at all so I was shocked when he did !

willow when we started VB (last October) ds was exactly 3yo and was level one in all areas (except social play ironically enough) for manding & echoic he scored 0 we couldn't even attempt to do the EESA - there's a post from me somewhere very depressed at how dire his assessment was. We re-did it in April & he was at least high level 2 (into level 3 for a few functions) on everything. We're not even running a proper programme. I still feel depressed and what he can't do though

DS is 6 and still in the foothills of Level 2. We have one big problem with our otherwise excellent VB program (which I'm so glad I started). if I ever get the strength I will post a thread about it ! The only crumb of comfort is that since the onset of language for manding and tacting was spontaneous and pre intervention, I cling to the hope this is a good sign.

I'm sure it's a really good sign ... it's so tiring isn't it?
