Just been to DD2 new preschool she was due to start in Sept. Early years have been in, TAC arrange to offer 1 to 1 support and everyone on board. Now They asked for a copy of CTC letter for this year. When asked if we recieve higher than family element of CTC (eg £10 week) the answer was yes as we get more because DD1 gets DLA. Now they are saying we wont get funding at all because DH earns over £16k Oh and they have changed her from a morning to afternoon place too which makes my life hell.

I feel like telling them all to stick it up their arses and i'll just cope as i have been for the last 2 years.
When does the child ever come first. Situation of one DD with HFA, one with possible ASD and a husband with cancer but because we have money coming in we couldnt possibily need any help they have no idea how high my morgage is, and the bills i have to pay.
I just cant afford £200 a month, but know now if i dont find it DD2 will miss out or early imput.
Im in tears, im stuck I just dont know what to do

thanks everyone. I got call from SNHV who said there is little she can do with only 3 days to go before end of term and to speak to early years team, who only work term time! aggrrr

I could call macmillian nurse, she is very lovely
Hmm about calling SS, feels very weird having spent years working for them but will look into carers assessment.

If DH goes for transplant we are seriously in trouble. DH has has gone back to work, and he earns more than i did. I quit my job 2 months ago because our girls needed me at home. Im just praying we dont have to look down that road just yet and the team have other options they will consider, but i know dh specialist spoke to us about transplant last time as he feels dh would be ok given his age, even though there is no family match

Im still very upset that just because we earn money we arent entitled to help money doesnt change DDs dx'x or DH

Lisa

Terribly sorry that you're faced with all this worry and uncertainty.

Sincerely hope that your DH gets well soon.

Best wishes

Hi liasd,

I am not sure if this helps but my DS has no DX and his paed referred him to Developmental play centre he started there within 4 months of being referred and more recently he was referred to Education, within 8 weeks they came out and assessed him and said that he would be seen again at playschool in roughly march time to see if he would need a statement for school.I then had a phonecall from a Lady from the Pre-School Specialist Teacher team. She came out and met my DS and I told them that the pre-school had said they wanted to try to get one to one funding for him and she has got in touch with them and is arranging it all.As I say my son's paed referred him and this is how we got the help, Could your DD's Paed reffer them to education for similar help. I have never been asked my income and am not having to pay for it as it is through education. I do hope this helps.

Carer's allowance payable to any friend/ neighbour/ family who provides specified hours care per week providing that they're not working as well. Could someone else claim the Carer's and bring your dd to pre-school, stay with her there etc?

Wd need to put in dla claim for DD2 to get Carer's for her name obviously
