He was four in June. He has short-limbed dwarfism, but is also developmentally delayed, esp with his speech. He shows no awareness of needing to poo or wee - but will take himself off to be by himself when does a poo. Poos are still very soft (sorry tmi). Due to his condition he has a big belly and bum and short arms and legs, which makes it extremely difficult for him to pull trousers up and down - he can't really do it at all yet. I just have no idea how to approach potty training with him. But he is starting school in September... school have been nice and have said they can do a personal care plan so that somebody will look after his nappy changes, but ds can be very awkward with people and at the moment I just can't see him happily lying down to be changed by someone other than me, dh or his grandmother either. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh am panicking aobut htis!
