Being denied help?

We're on our way for getting a statement in dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADD and AS - and my child was doing quite better as a result of the help she was getting, mostly by being able to eat her lunch in the LS room and not alone in her classroom. But although the rest of the SEN girls can continue to eat in the LS, she was told that she was only allowed in twice a week from now on.
Also, she was told this at school, without my permission or knowledge, and there were three teachers in the room which she found quite intimidating. Is this acceptable behaviour in a school? And is it allowed to not let her in the LS anymore? Seeing as she has AS, I find this pretty harsh.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

You need to talk to the school to find out what is going on. Sometimes schools are not sensitive to SEN needs, we have been there with both our children. Have you asked the school for a copy of their disability equality scheme?, it is a very important document as by law the school must have produced this document which sets out how they will ensure equality and diversity within the school and they must abide by this document. The Equality Officer at the local authority is another good source of advice, they can mediate with the school if you meet resistance. The Equality and Human Rights Commission helplines are also excellent. Hope the school situation improves.

Thanks, we did speak to them in the end.
Dd was allowed back in; when I phoned them claimed it was only for exam week, denying it completely. This sort of thing annoys me so much, but I suppose that not a lot can be done about it.
Thanks
