I think it depends on how DD’s needs present and what academic level you are looking at.

Be aware that although BH doesn’t admit DC whose primary need involves challenging behaviour, I know some DC find the behaviour of other pupils difficult to cope with.

There is some substantial behavior issues in Burlington house although I can’t talk for the senior site as DC is in secondary but in the prep building still. The Main isssue being they are not very good at dealing with bullying and it’s not so much the children’s behavior but how they gonabout dealing when kids are bullied.

In terms of your child’s needs Abingdon and Burlington are very different academically.

Abingdon has more training in autism their functioning is lower than that at Burlington so would depend on your child’s profile.
burlington is very much mainstream education and mainstream state school behaviour with adaptions for dyslexia mainly and SLT / OT available.

Abingdon is less academic but more therapeutic and more adaptions and more training in other needs such as autism but if your DC is able to do GCSES then that may not fit either.

It is the same at the other sites from what I have heard. It isn’t only how bullying is dealt with (or not dealt with). BH doesn’t admit where the primary need involves challenging behaviour but some do still have challenging behaviour as part of their wider profile of needs and some DC struggle with that.
