Just read a book that really hit home as an SEN mum

I’ve just finished reading a book called nonSENse and wanted to mention it here because it really struck a chord. I’m an SEN mum myself, and so much of what the characters talk about, the meetings, the waiting, the constant advocating, the emotional load, felt painfully familiar but also strangely comforting.
It’s fiction, but it captures the reality of the SEND system in a way I haven’t seen before. The support‑group format works really well, and there’s a lot of warmth and humour woven through it, which makes the harder moments easier to sit with. I found myself nodding along more times than I can count.
If anyone wants to take a look, this is the link: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0GHSRHWS3
Thought it might resonate with other parents who are in the thick of it or anyone who just wants to feel a bit less alone in the chaos.
