No understanding of maths

Hi, I’m hoping for some advice around support for my Y5 daughter. She has a recent diagnoses of ADHD and dyslexia and an EHCP because of her learning needs. She struggles with attention and memory and school is increasingly a worry for all of us.
Im particularly worried for her about her lack of any understanding of maths. Even basic counting seems to confuse her and our weekly attempts at Sats Companion are fraught. Nothing makes sense to her. Rounding up or down is impossible, times tables are limited and she can’t retain any basic relationships (eg she doesn’t seem to realise that 5x3 is exactly the same as 3x5). I’m really worried for her that secondary school is going to be horrendous for her and she will just be left totally behind.
Has anyone experienced similar? We suspect maybe dyscalculia but no idea how to check or what good a diagnoses would bring if she can’t see any number patterns or relationships at all. How can we help her grasp the basics?

Sounds like DD needs a comprehensive EP assessment.

I think your EHCP should already cover this and if it doesn't, a very urgent review is needed!

in my dc primary school they can screen for dyscalculia, maybe thats an option ? even to see if its picked up on screening then they can get support in place? i have a feeling one of my dtwins has this, plus hes already struggling with reading and writing, though those are getting better.
