QB test child adhd assessment

My 7 year old is awaiting nhs diagnosis for ADHD. I was recently told by the community paediatric team that will assess her that she does not require a QB test prior to the assessment, they couldn’t tell me why just that the clinician decides on a case by case basis. I thought it was pretty standard procedure for all children to have the QB (with mid yorks nhs trust) and have even spoken to another parent of a child in my daughters class and their child has recently had the QB test and is now awaiting the full assessment appointment, so they definitely do the test in my area. I just wondered if anyone would know the reason why some children would have the QB test and others don’t, I’m not sure whether this is a positive or negative thing and it’s got me worried now!

Some services don’t use the QB test for all patients. In some services, it depends on the child’s presentation and other evidence available.

Ah right. I wonder if they have enough evidence from the referral form maybe, as we haven’t seen the consultant yet.
