Noise cancelling for ASD DD with earrings?

Hi everyone ❤️

My daughter is 7 with a diagnosis of ASD. She has her ears pierced (entirely her choice before the anti-piercers come for me, and she had them done at the absolute best place in the area with a needle with no pressure whatsoever) and she adores her earrings.

She doesn’t like particular noises, including but not limited to sudden loud noises like the school bell, children screaming and shouting, passing trucks and buses etc.
She is on a reduced schedule for school, attending 3 hours a day as she can’t emotionally cope with being there any longer than this. This is an improvement already as she was only doing 2 hours, and before that refusing altogether.

She has asked me to get her some ear defenders which are suitable for her to wear with her earrings in, but I’m drawing a bit of a blank.
She has said she would be okay if the noise would be muffled out instead of being completely silenced, she just doesn’t want it to be so loud.
I showed her the Loop ear plugs but she won’t tolerate in ear plugs, so anything like this is sadly out of the question.

Is anybody able to recommend anything suitable for her to wear so her earrings don’t dig in? ❤️

I haven’t done so myself, but people wear Bose noise cancelling headphones with earrings. Would they work for DD?

As an aside, if DD can’t attend school full-time, is alternative provision in place and has an EHCP been requested.
