My son has a report from the British Dyslexia Association confirming Dyslexia, processing issues and dysgraphia. His mocks are all half blank , last half. He says he runs out of time. I asked for extra time in his GCSE’s he struggles alot , the school gave him a JCQ test . It came back pretty incomprehensible for the most part full of spellings missed words etc, the school said based on this jcq test he is “too good “ for extra time. Even though all of his mocks are half finished. Last half. What do I do ? searched internet no emails to help ? seems ofsted , jcq , Department of education don’t speak to parents. How do I challenge this ? school unsupportive throughout his time there.Other threads on mumsnet have previously written about this school ,parents removing children with dyslexia as its unsupportive. It’s a high achieving comprehensive school which sees itself as almost like a grammar ,they seem really casual re helping him .Refuse to submit his blank mocks for extra time.
