Dysgraphia and annotating texts

Hello, my child is in year 9 and has an EHCP and is diagnosed with dyslexia and dysgraphia. We gave just been told to buy a certain play for next term as this copy has "ample room for annotating the text". So, I am wondering how a child with dysgraphia will be able to annotate a play? They won't be able to neatly write notes in the margins. If they type, how will their notes match up with the text? Does anyone have any tips? The play is Romeo and Juliet. Are there digital copies of plays where you can make your own notes and highlight the text?

I will ask the school and although they are quite helpful, they don't always seem to quite grasp what I am asking for and know exactly what would help.

You can add annotations on the Kindle app. Alternatively, provision for a scribe could be included in DC’s EHCP.

English lecturer here. Their best bet is probably to download an e text of the play (teacher may need to find one that matches the print edition they have set - there may be textual differences otherwise), as a PDF or word doc, and use the comment feature to make the annotations. They might even be able to do this via speech-to-text if that's helpful. Romeo and Juliet is out of copyright so an online text will be pretty easy to find.

Or, they could download the epub version of the specific set edition and annotate that through an app like Kindle - personally, I find that clunkier than comment features, but each to their own.

There are various online software tools for collaborative annotation of texts, but I think they would probably just overcomplicate something that can be achieved through a word processor.
