Sats scores for sen children

My daughter has asd and 1:1 help at school. She managed to sit her sats and scored 85 in maths and 95 and 90 in reading and spags respectively. What year level would you say she is working at with these scores? I'm appealing Section B, F and I, and her ehcp still says she is working far below standard and that she is working at year 2 level. Her teacher things she has made rapid progress in year 6. No official assessments since spring 2023.
Thanks for your input

It is impossible to generalise from SATs scores alone.

You should consider an independent ed psych assessment.

The fact that she Sat them and scored >80 indicates that she understands some content from the Y3-6 curriculum. Scoring 90 and 95 suggests she understands a fair chunk of the Y3-6 curriculum. Beyond that, as PP said, it is hard to know.

Also, just because she has understood some of Y3-6, it is no guarantee that she is secure in her Y2 knowledge.

SATS are only a really narrow snapshot of ability and favour a certain type of child who is good at tests. I would look more at teacher comments and levels. I would ask the school for whatever tracking sheet they used to monitor progress. That should show the details of what skills the teacher thought she had across core subjects.
