ADOS assessment

My son 8 had his ados assessment on Monday, I thought he coped with it all extremely well, he is already diagnosed with ADHD and ODD and I’m slightly concerned as he wasn’t medicated whether his ADHD may of overtook everything, I know they are trained to pick up on behaviours and traits etc. I sat in the meeting as he refused to go on his own.
during the creative play he engaged well although was distracted by another object in the box that he wanted but he was told to wait, he’d carry on doing his other activity but kept diverting back to the item he wanted out of the box, he made a puzzle which the lady took 2 pieces and said if you need anymore to complete your puzzle ask me and I will give them to you, he grabbed them before asking. Whilst doing the creative items he turned around to the lady’s and said can we just start this assessment now 😂 they both looked at each other shocked. I.E making up stories he did engage really well but was also extremely hyper, running around the room, throwing his teddy, hiding under the chair I was sitting on.
I just wondered if anybody else has any feedback from their Ados assesment. He’s obsessive with plans and needs a strict schedule/plan and he will repeat this over and over again, I didn’t get chance to say much to the ladies due to him wanting to go, they didn’t ask me too much either just asked if they saw the real him. They said they will write a report and send it back to his paediatrician and that was it.
thank you for taking your time to read.
if anyone else is going through this and wants to continue this thread/journey please feel free ☺️

Try not to worry. You will be amazed at what the HCPs noticed. For example, they will have noticed DS didn’t ask for more puzzle pieces and instead just took them.
