I’ve read a lot of threads where uni students receive DSA for their ADHD, but not really going into more detail about what they receive. I’m just wondering what students have been granted to help them through the uni years.

It depends on the individual needs. Support could include a mentor, study skills sessions, travel allowance, general allowance (e.g. for the additional printing/photocopying required because of the disabilities). Also, tech/assistive tech/laptop software/printer and training to use it (with laptops you pay £200 and any upgrade costs). Where lectures/notes aren’t put online a note taker can provided.

Where specific accommodation is required beyond the basic e.g. en-suite the report can include that need. For university owned or managed halls the university is expected to finance the difference between a standard room and the accommodation needed because of a student's disability. Whereas, for private halls and private houses/flats DSA covers the difference as long as the need for a certain accommodation is included in the needs assessment.

Thank you @Headfirstintothewild that’s really helpful. A mentor would actually be a fantastic thing to have.
