Organisation of their documents

Mine has SEN documents going back 10 years. EHCP was issued 4 years ago in 2020 and I have I think everything electronically but I have just burned a load of isp etc literally realms of them from nursery and year
1/2 and emails back and forth- been a long fight to get him what he needs and to be honest 99% of the progress is down to me - as during lockdown he got nothing.
I’m thinking one paper of each since 2020 for meetings eg annual review in an arch folder etc and all electronic copies on a memory stick and backed up in the cloud but then get rid of everything else.

I thinking only stuff in the last 3/4 years is relevant for mine. Does that sound reasonable?. I know it depends on the need of the child but I’ve just taken out huge cardboard boxes out of the wardrobe.

how do you organise yours ?

Some things older than 3/4 years may be relevant e.g. diagnosis letters or previous assessments so I would keep them electronically at least. We store lots of paperwork electronically, but for the physical paperwork we have filing cabinets in the garage.

The stuff from 3 years ago is massively out of date eg assessment since then I will keep electronically I think and have done all the main bits but not the isp from nursery and hundreds of email print outs going back wards and forwards

Just to say this thread is an excellent illustration of the mental load SEND mothers carry. Solidarity fist bump.
