Access Card AND Blue Peter badge?

My son has a Blue Peter badge, so gets free entry into some attractions using that. We've also just applied for him to have an Access Card (with +1 companion), which, if he gets it, will entitle him to a free carer into some attractions.

My question is, if he gets the Access Card, can he use that in conjunction with his Blue Peter badge (assuming thr attraction offers both)? So essentially, in the case of many attractions, he, and his 'carer' can both enter for free?

[Please understand that I'm not trying to be grabby here - we all make savings wherever we can]

It'll probably depend on the individual attractions terms and conditions. Our local Zoo for example, you can only use a blue peter badge to get in free with a full paying adult whose ticket is purchased on the day.

What @Namechange13101 said. Some attractions allow a free carer (an access card isn’t necessarily for most attractions) as well as the badge holder. Others don’t.

Interesting. On another forum they said it would be discrimination not to allow the Blue Peter badge to be used and that that this needs to be treated entirely separately to a disability carer under didability law. Guess I'll have to ring up attractions individually to enquire.
Thanks for replying.

Although many do, attractions don’t have to offer free carer entry. I don’t agree it would be discrimination because lots of offers and concessionary tickets cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer/concession.

No, of course not - I'm talking about the ones that do, and which advertise that fact.

Yeh, this is precisely the discussion, and my question. I don't think you can call the carer element an 'offer' though - it's a disabled person needing a carer due to a significant disability, not a Kellogs B1G1F coupon! Will ring up the attractions separately to enquire.

I didn’t call a carer’s discount an offer. I posted “offers and concessionary tickets”. It (and free Blue Peter badge entry) is a concession! Did you miss the ‘and concessionary tickets’ or just ignore it and cherry pick parts of my post? Neither did I compare it to a BOGOF offer!

Okay, no need to get snippy! You said offer as well - so I was pointing out that this isn't an offer (that's more aligned with a B1G1F offer). As I've said twice already... I'm now going to call up the attractions individually. Hope your day gets better! 🤷‍♀️

My day is perfectly fine, thank you. I responded how I did because your post came across as snippy making out I was comparing a carer’s concession to a BOGOF offer. However if you use the google definition of offer as “a specially reduced price.” Then a carer’s discount could be described as an offer.

Okay, cool. Have a good one 🙈
