Initial paediatrician appt - what to remember

We've been waiting for over a year for our first paediatrician appt. I:m hoping the outcome will be to put my 6yr old daughter on the waiting list for an autism assessment.

It's on Thursday and is 75mins. I asked about bringing someone else with me and I can, so I will have the opportunity to speak to the doctor without my child present as well which will help.

My big concern is that my daughter is an excellent masker, school are very supportive but she doesn't display any traits there (if that makes sense). I'm hoping the doctor will understand and agree that the perfect girl at school/unloads it all at home indicates she might be autistic.

Does anyone have any recommendations of what to remember to say/mention/ask at the initial paediatrician appt?

Many thanks all.

Rather than trying to remember everything, it is helpful to make a list of things you want to say, so you don’t forget anything. Think about developmental history, pregnancy & birth, family history, difficulties/strengths, friends/interaction etc. Adjustments you make to enable DD to cope. Other examples if they apply: sensory difficulties, food/clothing/noise, anxiety/overwhelm/coke bottle effect, selective mutism, sleep difficulties.
