DLA application- if rejected and we have no additional evidence to offer yet, how long do you have to wait to do a fresh application?

Sorry if I've missed the answer to this online but it only seems to include specifically mandatory reconsideration and appeals.

Long story short, 2 year old is waiting to see the paediatrician for an autism/developmental delay assessment but won't be seen until september/october.
However we've seen a private SLT and had a language delay confirmed and have had an EHA done which both discuss some of his other issues, so I'm considering whether to just give DLA application a try with what we have knowing it could be rejected and then it'll be October before we have more evidence to then try again, but don't want to do so if an application now means we'd have to wait x amount of time to try again with more evidence?

You can reapply as soon as you like. Although if refused you should ask for a mandatory reconsideration and appeal.

That's brilliant thank you, I m just not sure if we were to appeal before we had more evidence that we d get anywhere. He's not currently in nursery or anything and our GP was actually pretty dismissive but thought well it's just the time spent on the form to try a bit sooner.

Some appeals are successful even without additional evidence.

Oh I didn't realise that was the case, well I'll get started on the form as seems there's no harm in giving it a go.

My sons just been refused DLA so I’m doing a MR I’ve just gathered more info but I very much doubt he will be awarded I have heard once they say no then it’s always a no it’s rare for them to go against the original decision!
but I’ll try anyway
