Fuck you snuggy black out bed tents, fuck you!
sorry they are assholes
I have 3 kids 2 on the autistic spectrum, one of which my youngest baby is non verbal, he is turning 5 on Sunday. snuggy.com who make blackout bed tents, which was planning to use as a sensory space, cost me £129.99, ordered it last week, got a tracking number, then today they email me telling me it’s pre order.. won’t get until November.. (at no point did it say pre order, on my recipe at no point dose it say pre order.. yet they contacted me telling me November pre order, told them this wasn’t ok, as no point did it say pre order. Most of his presents are for a sensory tent.. so are really useless until night time.. 🤦‍♀️ then they get cheeky saying this is why they are contacting me, incase I had missed that it was pre order… like it’s my fault. Even though no mention whatsoever of preorder.. untucking believable. So pissed off they only telling me this now and refusing refund.. will cost £70 min for a replacement for his birthday.. I just wanted to bring him more into our world give a space when he is overwhelmed or needs sensory input.. fuvk you snuggy fuck you!

Under The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you are entitled to:

29.—(1) The consumer may cancel a distance or off-premises contract at any time in the cancellation period without giving any reason, and without incurring any liability except under these provisions—
(a)regulation 34(3) (where enhanced delivery chosen by consumer);
(b)regulation 34(9) (where value of goods diminished by consumer handling);
(c)regulation 35(5) (where goods returned by consumer);
(d)regulation 36(4) (where consumer requests early supply of service).
(2) The cancellation period begins when the contract is entered into and ends in accordance with regulation 30 or 31.
(3) Paragraph (1) does not affect the consumer’s right to withdraw an offer made by the consumer to enter into a distance or off-premises contract, at any time before the contract is entered into, without giving any reason and without incurring any liability.

33.—(1) If a contract is cancelled under regulation 29(1)—
(a)the cancellation ends the obligations of the parties to perform the contract,

Tell them they are in breach of the 2013 Consumer Contracts Regulations if they do not refund you as you have already informed them in writing you do not wish to continue with the purchase.

If they still play silly buggers then if you paid using a credit card you can dispute the charge under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.

Good luck!
