My partner has an autistic son, and at times is aggressive. He hits pulls hair, today he pushed two elderly women. I under that he was overstimulated and if anyone in his arms reaches he will hit them I also have an autistic son who is very quiet and reserved.

My partner has sprung on me that one day in the future if his son gets too much to handle for his ex-wife he will have to live with us.

Am I being unreasonable ? for not wanting this, I have to think of my children.

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sometimes this is the reality of being a parent of a child with SEND.
The child's Dad is saying he might have to step up.
This is the reality of your DP's life.

Yes, it is understandable that you find the idea challenging, but you have the choice not to build a life with your dp. Your dp doesn't have a choice of whether to parent his child.

I agree with Kite. If you aren’t willing to accept DP’s DC and the care they need then perhaps DP isn’t right for you.
