Dyslexia Support

My daughter is studying for her A-levels and during the first lockdown we discovered she was dyslexic. She has recently been tested and is moderately dyslexic, with ready and spelling her weakest area. School has always been a bit of a struggle and is now getting her down, as she feels Uni is a bit beyond her.

We've reassured her and told her that anything is possible, we just need to find the right way for her to learn and she'll always have our support.

Can anyone recommend anything, are tutors a good idea, do they work? Online forums/support groups. Anything to make her feel she's not alone and can still achieve her dreams. Thank you

Has DD had an Ed psych assessment? Is she using assistive technology? Have you sorted access arrangements? If DD does go to university she will be eligible for DSA.

Thank you for your reply, we are looking at the pen reader, but as we're just at the beginning of this journey, it's all a bit of a minefield. I'm going to go and see her school about how they can support her.
