DS is 9 years old and has just been tested by an EP and has been found to have sever dyslexia in certain areas (Working Memory and Processing Speed). I've heard that Seaford college is good as well as Bedes. DS has gifted IQ level in visual spatial and has always been exceptional at building and visualising things. He does Lego and technics above his age without the instructions its amazing really. He will need somewhere which can accomodate his gifted abilities so that he can really harness them. He will likely need a reader and potentially a scribe if he can't learn to touch type. We are based in Surrey (Ockley) but are willing to move for the right school. Recommendations please ~:D

Have you considered somewhere like Appleford? or other school where primary need has to be dyslexia? There's a good list on the Crested website.

Are there other issues eg ASD? If not, I've heard amazing things about Appleford. If there are then you need to be sure Dyslexia type difficulties are the primary need as you might otherwise be better with a school that caters more for ASD.

Thanks. No, she doesn't have ASD or any behavioral challenges.

Hello @Trying4baby2021 and @mermaidsvssuperheros , I have just found your posts - have a gifted boy, diagnosed dyslexic and possibly adhd or ASC. 8 and heading into Y4. Willing to move to find him the right school. I would so appreciate any experience or insight from the choices you might have made for your children and how that is working out?
