ADHD, Dyslexic and a load of other stuff

I have a year 5 dd, 9 who is at our local primary school. For the past 6 years she has been assessed as falling below her age related goals.

In yr 2 we took her to Ed psyc, who suggested adhd as well as a whole lot of other things. ADHD was confirmed by a psychiatrist, the inattentive type. She had had a school Ed psch report which didn't really say much. She has since been diagnosed with dyslexia, visual spatial and motor difficulties and poor working memory

Her primary school have been shit. I am now determined to move her. We are in London. Can anyone recommend any schools, private or state that would suit?

I am so sick of fighting her school for support.

Why don't you apply for an EHCP.

I have been told she is not bad enough for an EHCP, but I might look into it again.

We are in that in between place. Not bad enough for an EHCP, but really struggling and unsupported at school. And the school have got rid of all the LSAs because of budget cuts.

Who told you she's not bad enough for an EHCP? If it's the school or LA don't listen, there are plenty of parents who get told similar who apply anyway and there DC do get an EHCP.

IPSEA have a model letter you can use. If the LA initially refuse to assess appeal, the vast majority of refusal to assess appeals are upheld.
