Nurturing Independent Secondary School?

I posted this in the MS Secondary thread, but it occurred to me that there might be expertise here. Apologies for cross-posting.

I would be very grateful for independent secondary school suggestions in west / central / north west (not too far north, ideally) London for a very bright boy who needs a higher than usual degree of pastoral care and a nurturing and understanding environment and ethos.

He has anxiety and an occasionally full-on home environment (older sibling with SEND). He is inclined to mask his anxiety and will follow rules / expectations to his own detriment and then can fall apart. We are supporting him with this, but we need the right school environment, too.

TIA

Have you looked at Kew House? I don’t have a child there but do have a child at one of the feeder primaries and the ethos of all the schools in the Gardiner group is very nurturing and child-centred. They cater well for kids with additional needs and they use a growth mindset approach which means kids are only judged on how they have improved against their own previous performance, they’re never judged in comparison to others. It’s definitely worth a look if a nurturing environment is important to you.

I actually have a chat lined up with a parent who has a child there. Thanks for your useful comment - good to know.

@Itwasinevitable @Spittingyarn I cam on here to say Maida Vale School, which is part of the same group. I was very impressed by their ethos. My some has HFA and am hoping he gets a place for next year.
