Hello
Long time been concerned about ADHD in daughter age 11 . Went to small
Primary and has x2 SENCO observe but no concerns.

Anyone recommend someone in London please that's reasonable price ?

Signs noticed -

  • pockets food
  • can't feel food on fade after eating
  • clumsy
  • easily distracted can't focus on homework without being monitored
  • blurts out comments interrupting others conversations
  • changes conversation topics back and forth
  • weird gestures eg bows when saying thank you, nods head and raises hand to say hi (can't stop these)
  • developed ticks eg clears throat, blows air up, makes noises
  • talks way too much and when told to stop or calm down then gets aggressive with younger siblings eg shouts 'stop talking X' as though can't stop the urge so deflects it onto another

Otherwise extremely creative, caring, clever (got mostly exceeding end of yr6), has loads of friends

Worried these odd things are going to lead to her being ostracised socially at secondary

I wouldn’t try and pin this all to adhd, these could also all be signs of ASD in girls, changing conversations is called the knights chess move and can indicate autism my DH DD and DS all do it

Have you chatted with your GP? schools often miss adhd and ASD in girls but a GP may listen

There are clinics around, we used clinical partners for DS’s adhd diagnosis it was about £1400 but well spent as he was diagnosed in 6 weeks and straight into treatment
