ADHD - books for parents and child

Our son (age 7) has been diagnosed with ADHD. (Or rather, we've been told his behaviour and our/teacher's answers to the Conners questionnaire are 'consistent with a diagnosis of ADHD' which I assume means the same thing!)

He's not disruptive or anything but struggles in certain ways at school and (to a lesser extent) at home.

I'd like to read some books to help us understand his mind a little more, and understand how we can support him. (He says it 'feels like my head is going to explode' when he does English at school.) And also ideally something we can give him to read.

There's loads of stuff out there but would love to have some recommendations. We are in the UK if that makes a difference.

Does it have to be about ADHD or are you after general books he might like?

I meant about ADHD, so he can maybe understand a bit about how his brain works and why he seems to struggle with certain things at school.

Probably not what you're after but the Hank Zipzer books are about a boy with ADHD and Dyslexia and are aimed at 6 to 8 year olds.

I'd maybe ask over on the SN Boards, you'll probably get a few more replies over there.
