Signs of ADHD?

I'm beginning to wonder if my 5 year old DD might have ADHD, she has always been a very energetic, loud child and I have had huge struggles with her tantruming from a very young age where I could not calm her down at all, and she doesn't listen well at home at all.

At nursery they often mentioned that she would struggle to sit down during work tasks and wander round and distract the other children etc. But because of her age they weren't concerned.

She's in reception at school now and they did mention her lack of focus and struggling to sit still when we had the first parents evening but again they reassured me that she would grow out of that and get used it. Obviously we had lock down which might have made things harder for her to settle too, but there have been more comments in her reading book about her getting very distracted. She does often lose focus when I'm reading with her at home, trying to get her to do the homeschooling was a nightmare and it is still extremely difficult to get her to do any homework now.

She is never quiet, she doesn't play quietly and so energetic that it is hard to keep her active all the time - we don't have a garden or anywhere she can run about to burn off some energy so that might not be helping. I will ask her to do something e.g get dressed and come back 30 minutes later and it won't be done, the same with eating breakfast, tidying her toys away, fetching something for me (I might ask her to go and get her school book and put it in her bag for instance). I don't know if this is normal behaviour for a 5 year old but the not listening is driving me insane, mornings are terrible and I do feel like I am constantly telling her off because she doesn't follow instruction until I shout.

She interrupts everyone even though she does know it is rude, we tell her off and she stops for 5 minutes but then starts again.

I will be ringing her school and ask to speak to her teacher but I don't want them to think I'm being overbearing I just also don't want her to be struggling with school, or being told off constantly and if there is a way to support her better I'd just like to know.

A lot of this describes my 7 year old, who has just been diagnosed. His teacher first raised issues with concentration about 18 months ago, and we have now just had diagnosis. I would raise the question with her teacher and the school SENCO. You can also ask the GP to make a referral too.
