Well the sun is out and we are not allowed to open the windows. Well we could as long as the fly screens i had to make out of double layer voile were across the windows. But the other night eldest used bathroom opened window didnt stick the voile to the velcro and a little moth got in.
3 hours my son with autism was crying feeling sick and just kept going on about the voile not being stuck down properly.
He also has now said that we cannot risk this again so dont open windows because we know he doesnt like insects.
He wont leave the house in summer either because of his phobia of insects especially ones that fly.
Its that bad he is not safe out , last time he went out he thought he saw a bee and jumped in the road to get away, and was sceaming as loud as he could.
Would therapy help him because he is so set in his way of thinking.
He is 12.

Our son had CBT therapy at age 19/20, which managed to get rid of phobias and other issues that had been going on for years, so yes it could help.

We had to wait for 8 months for someone who was experienced in working with young people with autism, but she was fabulous and well worth the wait. I was amazed at the difference she made.
