Hi all,

We are considering The Blooming Tree clinic for our 4 year old son ABA programme. Does anyone had direct experience with them or know of anyone who have tried them? I'd highly appreciate any reviews. Thanks

I'd be interested to know if you heart anything about them?
I contacted them a while ago and never received any reply.

Is your son doing the clinic based programme? Can you please tell me how much it cost.

I write this comment as a person who worked in Blooming tree as a tutor a while ago…
I would highly encourage parents not to send their children to this school and people to not to apply for a job in the company for the following reasons

  1. Staff is highly incompetent
Applying for a role in Blooming Tree doesn’t require you to have training/previous knowledge in ABA therapy and you are promised to given a highly comprehensive training that you can progress in and gain competency via lectures, workshops and supervision. However in reality, this does not happen. You are sent to work with children with almost no training, having to deal with extremely challenging behaviour, left to “deal with” on your own. Because staff is not given the right training and lack experience, they end up using wrong approaches and/or getting physically or emotionally damaged due to the nature of dealing with challenging behaviour. Not only that you are not given the appropriate training, when you want to receive supervision or some sort of consultancy, it is more than likely that the supervisors are extremely busy and do nor have time so you have to “figure it out” yourself.
  1. Staff are lied about the nature of the work
Tutors are told that they will be working in an environment that they can use their expertise and background in teaching and/or psychology but are not mentioned in the beginning that they will be dealing with preparation of food, do the washing up and cleaning, sterilise equipment and also support children during lunch time, leaving them with only 30 minutes of break throughout the whole day. This leaves tutors exhausted, stressed and less motivated to do their jobs.
  1. Children does not get consistent support

Due to staff changing all the time, children end up working with multiple tutors that lack knowledge about the individual children, causing challenges and backlashes in the children’s progress.

  1. Staff are dehumanised
There is no psychological/emotional support for the staff. They are treated as “replaceable” objects by the company, Most of us work for a ridiculously low pay, expected not to complain. Since more than half of the staff is on a work visa and sponsored by the company, are terrified to complain in the fear of losing their jobs and therefore having to leave the country. Because of the ridiculous contract you sign, they can fire you with only two weeks notice whereas you have to give the company 3 months notice if you wanted to leave.

All of the factors listed above make Blooming Tree an unprofessional and a highly stressful place to work for the staff and the worst place to send your children to.

In conclusion, I would not apply to work with Blooming Tree as a tutor or send my children to their nursery.

My son has been going to blooming tree since the age of 3 he is now 7. When he was 2 we know he was different and that’s when the planning of his future all come into play as many of you probably are going through the same. We decided to move to London and did extensive research on aba. We found blooming tree and decided to put him in under Alice’s care. I have tears in my eyes genuinely when I think about how far my son has come. He was non verbal and he’s speaking now. He had huge issues with food but now eats a full variety. He has sensory issues which have calmed down massively. He went from needing 1-1 to being able to sit in a class and follow teacher instructions. Alice and Cristina managed to potty train him in a week. These are the very few things that he has achieved. Alice is a genius and without her knowledge ability planning and care this would not have been possible. The mistake people make is thinking this is an over night fix. This is a long process and requires patience to see results. Also I have seen many of the same tutors over the 4 year period. To my knowledge The staff are well experienced and trained I don’t know any parent that’s unhappy there.
Thank you Alice for your hard work and dedication!

I also worked there. I agree with the comments from the person who said worked there before. Do not work there or send your children there. Look at Glassdoor or Google review. Any review mentioning Alice or Nico is not to be trusted. They do not work with children at all. They just come to school once in a while and stay in office.
